Chihuahuas!

The pictures in this video are so cute! But then, I’m partial to chihuahuas. We’ve had several.

Chihuahuas are great dogs. I’ve never met one that didn’t love lots of attention and to go wherever I go. In fact this evening my mom found 2 mice in the patio trash can and our chihuahua accompanied her on the drive to drop the mice off in a field.

Chihuahuas are all small, and some are really, really small. Because of this they need special care. Children should be gentle, and it is important that you watch where you step. It’s also important if you have bigger dogs that they are trained to be gentle, too. It’s not unheard of to have a large dog attack and hurt or even kill a chihuahua.

That said, it’s not unusual for a chihuahua to attack and bite a person. They are extremely protective. I’ve seen it said many times that a chihuahua is a large dog in a small body. They can act very ferocious. So it’s important to train your chihuahua to restrain himself or herself.
