Dogs have always been known as man’s best friend and wherever man has traveled, dogs have too. Even with the advent of exotic pets, dogs still win tops as man’s favored pet.

The concept however, of dogs as pets has also come to affect how they are treated. Because they are animals, some may tend to think that they are thoroughly dissimilar to humans. It may therefore come as a surprise that dogs, just like humans, can suffer medical conditions when improperly fed.

With improper diet, dogs can suffer from allergies, diabetes, heart failure, kidney problems and urinary tract problems. Dogs need more than just the occasional table scraps, and sometimes even more than his favorite dog food. Since we can’t really understand everything our poor friends are trying to tell us, it has fallen on medical research to tell us what we should feed them.

puppy growth care training classWe haven’t adopted a puppy for years because our home always has the legal limit of adult dogs rescued off the streets or from the local shelter. But when my aunt adopted a puppy a few years ago she went with the dog to six puppy training classes. These classes gave her insight into how to train her other dogs, as well as helping her teach Danny some basic skills.

If you’re the owner of a new puppy and you want to know how to teach it the difference between right and wrong, why not take a class? Classes are available at many pet stores and even veterinarian offices that teach new owners how to handle the task of training this new addition to your family.

You attend the classes alongside your dog and this helps not only in training your new dog, but it also brings the two of you closer together, which is essential to any training effort. Puppy growth care training classes aren’t that expensive, and they’re well worth it when you consider you’re getting the knowledge you need to make your puppy a great, and good, new addition to your family.

Find A Class Near You

You should have little trouble locating a puppy growth care training class in your area. Stores such as Petsmart, and other large pet chains, often hold their own classes for owners with new puppies. Ask your veterinarian if they suggest one or seek one out yourself.

Just remember that a puppy growth care training class isn’t there for you to just drop off your pet so you can go run some errands. The class is intended for both of you, owner and puppy together, to teach it the behavior you expect of it, and also as a bonding experience.

The first thing you will learn in your puppy growth care training class is how to teach it the difference between right and wrong. This can be accomplished in several ways.

Our border collie ScoutI love taking pictures of our dogs. One of the greatest things about digital cameras is I can take hundreds of pictures and only save the very best.

But dog photography is something of an art form. Some people may think it involves nothing more than pointing a camera and shooting as fast as you can, but it’s much more complicated than that. More complicated than photographing humans even!

One problem I have is getting the dog to not come running up to me whenever I bring out the camera. Ask anyone who has tried to keep a roving mutt still for 10 seconds and you’ll see how hard it can be sometimes. Our border collie is especially hard to get still. The picture above is the first picture we were able to get him to sit still for, about 6 months after he came to live with us.

Here are a few pointers to aid you when you’re pursuing dog photography and want only the best pictures (and not blurry fur).

Dog Photography Tip 1: Preoccupy Your Pet

For the average dog, photography is simply an impediment to fun. Plus dogs are just as sensitive to humans when you aim a camera at their face.
